A couple nights ago, I had the pleasure of joining my friend, designer Paige Lewin of Tess & Ted Interiors, for an Instagram Live interview as part of her new series #MyFavoriteSpot. I shared a tour of the tiny room at the farm that we affectionately call the “parlorette.” I would have greatly preferred being in the same room with Paige and if you watch the interview, you’ll see why. She’s an artful conversationalist, very genuine, and the kind of person you want to know better.
Watch the whole interview below for a peek at the secret cupboards, the rooster needlepoint, and the big little banquette that single-handedly shoves that room out of its 1842 birth and into the 21st century. I also get personal about the decision to buy this farm and the change of heart we’ve experienced since living here under quarantine.
Paige’s Instagram Tess and Ted is an aspirational stroll through interior design, art, style, and motherhood. She can write too, with an uncanny ability to define a moment. Her series, #sharebeautynotfear has been such a balm during this time of stressful uncertainty. Give her a follow. She’s smart, funny, and real. Plus, her earrings will wow you.
P.S. Paige and I met at Alt Summit, a creative conference organized by Gabrielle Blair, and held annually in Palm Springs. You can read about us and Mark Ruffalo at Alt Summit here. After you watch the interview, maybe?
