Procrastination Links 08.31.20

It’s the unofficial last week of summer and the transition from summer to autumn is on full display at the farm. We are harvesting the last bounty of the gardens and fall colors are slowly appearing. While so much hardship is dividing our country, I continue to turn to the gardens for inspiration and hope. If you need a little break this week, check out my favorite procrastination links from around the web…

  • I'm so very very proud of my Milwaukee Bucks and their leadership. This story contains the full transcript of the letter we received on their collective decision to boycott Game Five.

  • Speaking of leadership, this story about Winston Churchill's speeches surprised me. A poet!

  • Ahhh... the art of eating a chocolate croissant on the street in France.

  • Do you remember this? What a princess. If she wasn't wearing that stupid skirt, I'm sure she would've won.

  • This talented graphic designer is giving away free BLM signs. They're gorgeous. To support her, I've just purchased this dishtowel too. (Thanks Paige!)

  • Are you like me, adoring of anything in miniature? Do you suppose it is something to do with control? Whatever. This fairy castle was the reason why I constantly pestered my parents to take us to the Museum of Science and Industry. (The Iron Maiden... so weird and unexpected.)

  • A small English design boutique producing modern appliqué textiles that can inoculate any space from Boring Disease.

  • Excellent Read of the Week: This essay -- about a woman on a writing retreat -- has a unique see-saw structure.

  • For all you fellow chair lovers, this one has that perfect cost-to-design ratio.
