Procrastination Links 06.24.19
I am off to a writing workshop at the University of Iowa this week. And after that we will be taking full possession of the farm! I’m looking forward to all of the projects and gardening that await us. If you need a little break this week, check out my favorite procrastination links from around the web…
Make something different out of yourself every three years.
I've just reserved this book from the library.
Designer Billy Cotton on his room for the Kip’s Bay Show House. “I was inspired to do a room for a formerly fancy, elderly drug addict. Her gay best friends took pity on her and did up her SRO for her.” (Thanks Patrick!)
Goodness, there’s nothing better than a photographer's mashup of renaissance art and Jiffy Lube. This series is dramatic!
Have you lost trees to this creature?
A little farm kitchen inspiration from a miniaturist.
My favorite pic of Gloria V, may she rest in peace, poor motherless child.
And this is partly what makes summer such a challenge with teens.
My Instagram friend Marjorie is a source of so many links I share. I've asked her to guest edit the newsletter sometime soon. Here is one of hers.
The link between menopause and Alzheimer's.
This is the perfect way to style a guest room.
I have listened to this interview with Ray Kurzweil three times. His predictions about the future are mind-blowing. Every word he utters is worth a pause for consideration.
Procrastinators watch out! Music lovers beware! This is crazy fun!
Antiques of the Week: Worth the price considering the illustrations, don’t you agree? Evelyn Bartlett of Bonnet House (on the blog today) collected these, and now you can too.
