Procrastination Links 05.13.19
I hope you had a wonderful weekend celebrating all of the special mothers in your life. Spring has finally arrived in Wisconsin and we are enjoying a beautiful sun-filled day. If you need a little break this week, check out my favorite links from around the web…
A farmhouse where every room or building is a different theme? And the twig pagoda corbels are definitely on my radar!
This was a fascinating read. No pity for the royal obstetrician who shot himself, as he enjoyed a quick and painless death, unlike the young queen on whom he refused to use forceps, and who then suffered a 50-hour labor followed by hemorrhage and death. Also, I hope you don't hit a paywall but I was entertained by the way the WaPo riffed on the new royal baby's name.
Thank you Met Gala for this divine way to light up the glass house at the farm!
Proof (if social media is scientific) of the appeal of women who embrace their age.
It's still freezing here. I'm making this for dinner tonight.
Thank you Dot! A plan for a chicken band.
What a sentence: "The General was stiff when he should have been soft, and vice-versa." It's in the excellent 6-minute story titled "Seven Romances," written by Ira Sadoff in 1976. Also, here's a book store to add to your bucket list.
Prom in Wisconsin a week ago.
Thank you Dot! A plan for a chicken band.
Milwaukee Buck's fans will love this story about Giannis. Make sure you get through the more political first half to the very illuminating second half. What a guy!
Antiques of the Week: Looking at chairs this week and fell in love with this pair. Also these: vintage Italian ceramic snow leopard figurines.
