It was a magical weekend showing our kids and parents our new farm. It’s still surreal to say that we bought a farm! We are having much fun thinking of farm names and dreaming of the renovations and projects that are ahead of us. If you need a little break this week, check out my favorite links from around the web…

  • This is also about self-publishing. Very good info: "How to Launch a Profitable Side Hustle."

  • Ah, Fall! A recipe for a bourbon coffee Old-Fashionedto sip by the fire.

  • Who doesn't love babies? Let's help blow out this one's birthday candles, shall we? And isn't this one so sweet?

  • Have you ever spotted this tree killer? What to do if you do, besides snapping a pic.

  • wonderful account to follow for recipes and photography.

  • Benjamin Moore's 2019 Color of the Year, a pretty gray they've named "Metropolitan," is as much a political statement as a paint. The company describes it as "calibrated silence." Like an antidote to chaos and fear? So when the news freaks us out, we can stare at our walls and calm down? It is my opinion that a Democratic presidential candidate will have to exude this color, or non-color. In other words, he/she will need to be bland, boring, and safe. (Is this worthy of a blog post or am I reaching here?)

  • A daughter pays tribute to her father with this unusual obituary.

  • travelogue that includes a couple of libraries you will add to your bucket list.

  • A really great and super short piece in The Sun. (Best literary magazine ever!)

  • Antiques of the Week: Jazz lovers, check out this estate of Louis Armstrong photographer Jack Bradley being auctioned off.
